Beach towels were never changed during four night five day...

Beach towels were never changed during four night five day stay. Hotel towel were the size a little bigger than of hand towel, which was unacceptable. Toilets were clogged had water all over floor. Toiletries were not replaced daily, one day had no toilet paper. Rooms run down: Stay away!!

proximity to the beach and size of property which had three...

proximity to the beach and size of property which had three hotels, which you could experience the amenities of all.

As a non-smoker did not appreciate the smoking policy of the hotel. Smoke permeated the rooms, which made the experience uncomfortable. The cross-contamination of serving utensils on the buffet, was cause for concern as my husband does not eat meat, and eggs were being prepared alongside bacon.

Staff was terrible at reception my room was ready at but I had to go back to get passports which I didn't know I need to check in, After going back and from Havana my room was no longer available and the send me to an "upgraded room" to other hotel from Barcelo called Arenas B;nacas, rooms was a disaster and I lost a day moving back to my first choice Solymar.

Do not recommended this hotel

Very substandard across all aspects, filthy dirty. Pools green and slimey. The photos do not show the true quality of this hotel. The restaurants need a good deep clean and everything is swarming with flies. The beach towels were filthy with brown stains and in short supply so could not be changed. The bed linen and pillows are all heavily stained. It’s also a party hotel with young people partying until all hours of the morning. We did not get any sleep and the hotels response at 4.30am was that the young people were also on holiday. They were out with their loud speakers, partying in the swimming pool and vomiting into the pool. This did not just happen one night. Having spoken to other guests, we were told that this was a known party hotel. After 2 nights, we ended up transferring to their older, lower quality sister hotel. It was quieter but inferior. The staff were friendly and did their best. We tried on several occasions to speak to the manager but they were never there and/or never available.

Enjoyed a lot our vacation there.

Enjoyed a lot our vacation there. I liked the envirinment and my kinds were quite happy there. Satff are nice and friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Double beds are quite narow and not very comfortable for two people to sleep on them.

The room in the main building was very outdated, and in bad condition, looked like a bad motel. Do yourself a favor and book one of the bungalows. Food was good, the drinks were not. Beach near the hotel is beautiful tho.

The beach was beautiful

The hotel is in desperate need of repairs and updating. The bathrooms were dirty the aircondition did not work properly, the door gave trouble to lock and then when they did trouble to reopen. The food was awful

One of the best beach at Varadero, nice territory, good...

One of the best beach at Varadero, nice territory, good animation, quite big choise of foods including seafood and fruits, recommend Spanish and Seafood a-la carte restaurants. Better choose bungalo than main building as it is more quiet and comfortable.

If you dont’t give tips regularly to personnel, you shouldn’t expect good service including cleaning and service at restaurants. This is common issue for almost all hotels in Varadero. Many teens from Canada, who are very loud and made some noise, sometimes is was annoying.

The staff was warm and friendly. The additional restaurants are very good. Reserve!!!

The beach was clean and beautiful. They had 2 Swimming pools, one where it is noisy and the other pool was quiet and clean. The best about this hotel was the closeness to the town of Varadero where you can enjoy restaurants and also music bars. It was walking distance. The additional restaurants in the hotel are good too but must make reservations.

There were people making noise late into the nights around the main pool area leaving the people in the rooms to hear the noise. I was in the 4th floor but could hear the noise since I had my balcony door open for fresh air.

The room is very big with spectacular ocean view!!! and there have two big restaurant with luxury food to choice! beach is great, superior than my expectation! I'm sure will back next time!

Stuff sometime little bit cold not very friendly, especially in the morning when I still in bed they intend to open my door for cleaning! and bathroom facility is so old.

Below expectations.

The hotel was close to the downtown area.

Many things could have been better, The staff was not friendly and all they cared about was a tip. They were rude and unwilling to help. The room was outdated and discusting, the bathtub had rust and the bed was hard and the sheets had stain. Terrible option to wash clothes and too expensive, The dining options were scarce, they only allowed one dinner reservation for a 4 night stay at one of their restaurants. The restaurant had like 4 entrees and they were out of almost everything. The elevator was almost always broken, and the front desk staff was always making personal calls on the phone. I attempted to call down to them many times and they would never answer the phone. I would not recommend this hotel what so ever, dont waste your money.

Would not recommend.

The pool areas were large and had lots of chairs available

The quality of food was poor. Our room was in the main hotel. The room was not clean and facilities were very basic. The room has had no upgrade in 20+ years. The hot water in the shower was just a trickle. The staff at reception were very unhelpful, we asked about transport to Havana and they gave us a list of room prices. Would not recommend staying in the main hotel. There were some newer looking houses between the pool and the beach - these may have been better.

Beach is stunning, hotel is disappointing, lack of bottled water and staff are rude.

The Beach is stunning and the sister hotel next door is a breath of fresh air. I would recommend you eat and drink here. Staff are much friendlier and the food is great.

Staff are rude and unhelpful. The sheets don't fit the beds. Main restaurant/Canteen always had dirty tables, staff don't seem to care. They only allocate 1litre of water per room per day, in 30degrees heat. They will not give you any more than this, you have to go buy it. The bathroom towels are the size of hand towels.

The location was good and most of the visitors as well.

We really had a hard time with the accommodation. The reservation was for a superior room with 3 full beds and we only had 2 in the room and ended up sleeping 2 persons in a twin bed. For what we paid this is not acceptable and they didn't compensate us for this.

A wonderful beach and clean water. The Bungalows are comfortable, the garden beautiful and the pools clean

The cleaness should be better, the rooms need some renovacion, imidiatly. All is obviously used for a long time and many people.

I went there for the beautiful beach and thank god for mother nature, it was amazing.

The beach was amazing and the pools were wonderful. 85% of the staff were great.. the other 15% were not friendly at all. The cleaning staff was good. The Daiquiri Bar was the highlight of all the bars. They were very friendly.

No ice at any bar after 5pm? Food was disgusting. The previous reviews regarding the food were correct. While I expected the food not being great, I was completely surprised on how uneatable it was. Thank god I brought snacks to hold me over.

The room was extremely dirty and old! The sheets had stains on them, the seat from the bathroom closet was also dirty with remains. We found a cockroach near the sink and killed it with the ashtray (you can smoke inside). Was looking forward to a relaxing stay in Varadero but it was not the case. Nice view from the balcony though...

Great Location, hotel was average

The choice of food was good but didn't really vary much each day. The room was ok just falling apart a little. The bars were good and I like that you can order as many drinks as you like. Cocktails we good. Choice of pools was good apart from one that was closed. The location was really good, next to the beach and bear the bars. The evening entertainment was great, the band's and dancers were amazing!

The shower was terrible, it was over a bath so no sides so the water went everywhere. The room was looking out to a huge noisy construction site which started at 6am! The staff were rude, on reception especially and did not speak good English so it was a massive struggle to ask for anything. You can't book on the restaurants because the reception would tell you to come back at a certain time to book and then no-one would be there or they would say the time changed or they are all fully booked all week even though they looked empty every night! We never got to go to any of the restaurants! The entertainment by the main pool was VERY annoying. The man would not leave anyone alone and made people get up to do a dance competition but it was vulgar dance moves. Booking a massage was an absolute joke and I would not recommend anyone to try. The lady didn't speak English so trying to figure out what massage you booked and what time was so hard. Her attitude was terrible and you felt like you were asking way too much of her. It was like she didn't want you to book a massage which surely is how he hotel make their money because we are paying and it's not included in the all inclusive. The massage itself was actually ok though when we finally got it sorted. I would not recommend you try to book any excursions through their rep, it was like we were an annoyance to this lady and she did not want to show us any excursions. She even said don't bother to go on most of them because they are shit!!! Wow, her selling skills were amazing! Also, I didn't realise the hotel was for those people looking for a lively holiday, there was lots of load young loud party animals around the pool during the day. All very drunk and roudy. Although even some older ones were joining in, mainly Canadians. I just didn't get that impression reading any reviews so it's one think to point out to others.
